With less than two weeks to go until Christmas, things are definitely in high gear. The “to do” list seems to be getting longer rather than shorter- parties, baking, shopping, wrapping, Lanape Indian project (!!), laundry, meetings, cards, thank you’s, emails, blogging, cooking… And of course, Ron is traveling. Some days I feel like my brain and the rest of me is in overdrive! So, I am really trying to keep it all in perspective by keeping my sense of humor, trying to be patient with the kids (I really am trying), exercising and reminding myself about the true meaning behind the whole season. Love, friendship, hope, sharing, remembering, believing.
So, the pic I am going to share today for Wordless Wednesday is a fun reminder to stop and take the time to enjoy the holidays and what is going on around you. I was shopping in the very busy Union Square market the other day and right in the middle of the chaos of people there was a small film shoot going on. I couldn’t help but stop and smile. In NYC you get used to expect the unexpected but this scene of a guy lounging on a couch in the middle of the square reminded me to pause and take a breath. Hope you can find your happy place this season too. I find that wine and chocolate are always helpful! 😉
