I can’t believe that my baby turns 10 today. Double digits. Time sure does fly. Some days you just want to hold on to the little moments and never let go. I know she will be having an amazing time as she celebrates at camp today. Wishing my fabulous, fierce, independent, strong, big hearted Roo a wonderful birthday!!! We love you 💜💜💜

It’s that time of year again where the countdown to camp is real- 4 more sleeps!!! The apartment has been transformed into piles of items and things are being dutifully crossed off the packing list. We (or should I say I??!!) are almost done. The kids sweet reward is four weeks of paradise outside of the city. The adult reward is four child free weeks 😀 A win- win situation. Although I will definitely miss my two “not so little monkeys”, I am looking forward to a little peace and quiet or not… depending on my mood 😜

Happy Wednesday my friends. I hope you are all enjoying your own little summer paradise, whatever/wherever it may be. Cheers!

Today the girls and I survived a shopping trip to Target. They are leaving for a month long camp adventure in 10 days and need a few last minute items. So, off to Target we went.

I usually go alone.

We all survived.

No one was injured or left behind.

We made it home in one piece.

The psychological damage will probably not be permanent.

I still forgot the damn batteries.

I need a drink 😉

Happy Wednesday and Happy Canada Day to all my friends and family in the Great White North, Eh!

Two more days until the girls are finally out of school for the summer. I can’t wait. Remind me I said that in a few weeks 😉 It is a spectacular day in NYC. No humidity, no clouds, not too hot and the promise of hazy, lazy days of summer right around the corner.

Here’s to day trips, no packed lunches, picnics in the park, exploring the city, going away to camp, vacations away from the city, the empty summer streets, sleeping in, staying up late and enjoying each and every moment.

Happy Summer my friends!!! 💜💜💜

May the beauty of the day-

Lift your spirits,

Lighten your load,

Warm your heart,

Free your soul,

Ready your smile.

Enjoy the day my friends. 💜

Today we ran our practice 5K for the Girls on the Run race coming up at the end of the month. Girls on the Run is such an amazing, empowering, positive organization that has taught my youngest incredible life skills. Through the program the girls learn about perserverance, gaining confidence, working as a team, positive strategies when dealing with adversity and most of all, encouraging and supporting each other. I am so proud of my little rockstar and love being able to share these moments with her.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday my friends. May we all take some time to remember to lift each other up!

Every year on my birthday I like to take time to reflect. This year I am especially grateful for the amazing people that I have in my life. I am truly lucky for all of you. Family and friends who constantly surround me in love and remind me of life’s beauty. New adventures and new paths twist and turn in any new year and I am taking a deep breath and stepping forward.

We have a crazy busy day today so the girls decided that I should celebrate my bday this past Sunday. Here are a couple of my fave pics. Hope you enjoy them. Remember, always be kind and eat cake! 😀

It is a gorgeous sunny afternoon. There is a lovely breeze coming off the river. Perfect for a little baseball or for lounging around watching baseball practice. And that is exactly what I am doing. Enjoying the moment, taking a breather, appreciating the simple joys in life. Pretty soon it will be time to make dinner, help with homework, tidy the apartment, take out the dog, deal with reality. But not right now.

Cherish the day my friends. 😀

Sometimes just putting one foot in front of the next and willing yourself to move forward is the hardest part of the day. I have been struggling training for my upcoming half marathon for various reasons. But today I laced up the shoes, took a deep breath, headed to the park and just kept moving. I hope you all have a beautiful day filled with hope, determination and little steps forward. 💜

There is nothing good about a spring cold. The weather is finally beautiful but instead of being outside all you want to do is hide under the covers. Today my spring cold along with the “pollen tsunami” that is currently happening in NYC is kicking my butt. I have decided the only good cure is to crash on the couch, catch up with the firemen from “Chicago Fire” and keep the Kleenex close. Hope you are all sniffle free. Have a wonderful Wednesday! 😷😎
