Taking Memphis for a walk in Central Park on Saturday mornings has become one of my favorite things to do. No matter what the weather we are out there. He has a chance to run off leash and chase squirrels and I get to enjoy the quiet beauty and chat with a friend. It really is a perfect start to the weekend.

Today, with a light dusting of snow, was incredibly beautiful. Cold, but so beautiful. The park was packed with people and their dogs. I think a few tourists were even braving the chilly walk.

The calm in the holiday storm =)

Just thought I would share the pics. Have a wonderful day. Stay warm, stay sane and enjoy some time with the people who mean the most to you. Happy weekend xox

Well, winter came back with a vengeance. 11.5 inches of snow and frigid, freezing temperatures, yep, we get it, no need to rub it in quite this much πŸ˜‰ And yes, it is freakin’ cold in Canada, I know, I know… Do we need to have the car vs. walking debate again??!! The point is, this winter is turning out to be a nasty one- everywhere. So, nothing to do but bundle up, get out and get moving or hibernate. Two very good options. I intend to keep doing a bit of both. Here are some pics from the last couple of days. Hope you enjoy them. Happy Wednesday everyone!! Stay safe and warm xoxo

P.S. Do you know how I can tell it is really cold in NYC? They take the fruit in from the outside stands at Fairway and West Side Markets.

Last night the girls wore their pajamas inside out and backwards, flushed three ice cubes down both of our toilets and put a frozen spoon under their pillows before they went to bed. All of this so that they could be assured of a “snow day” on Friday. Well, it worked and we did indeed have snow day today. The snow fell fast and hard overnight and we awoke to a winter wonderland here in NYC. We don’t get too many of these beautiful snowy days with accumulation so we had to make the best of it and get our sled on, even in freezing cold temperatures. Here are some pics from the day, hope you enjoy them. Stay warm my friends!! Happy Weekend =)
