It is a cold, rainy November day here in Manhattan. Hey, isn’t there a song about that??!! And when the rain comes down in NYC out come the umbrellas. Here are some pics from school pick up which seems more like a battle ground for umbrella posturing and herding of children rather than a civilized endeavour. Hope your day treats you well, stay dry!

Today was a perfect day for a 7K run in Central Park. The weather was overcast, slightly windy and a bit of a drizzle. And I believe I even caught the briefest glimpse of Matt Damon at the end of my run, now THAT is motivation 😉 Hope you enjoy the pics!!

There is great satisfaction when you are running faster than the cars are moving 🙂

Okay, who else out there is having a hard time believing that it is already October?? Well, it is getting hard to forget in Manhattan where all of the little pop up Hallowe’en stores are opening up around the city. The weather has that fall crispness in the air, sweater season is here and so is the pumpkin spice latte. I say embrace the ghouls and goblins and I don’t just mean the normal craziness on the streets of NYC 😉 What are you going to be for Hallowe’en this year? Perhaps I will let my hair go wild…

Enter if you dare...

They even stalk you!

Hope everyone has a spectacular day and that you don’t find yourself walking by the dog toy (like I did), saying out loud “I hear ya sister!”:

Sometimes you just have one of those days =)

We are heading on a little mini family vacation to Orlando for a long weekend. We were offered an amazing rate through Hilton Family Vacations and decided to spend a little time away from the city together. We are all super excited to play at Sea World and of course we will have to make a stop at Magic Kingdom to see the princesses 😉
Here are a couple of pics of my little travelers who also happened to get mysteriously upgraded to first class!!! Life is rough 🙂 Enjoy the day!

It is not often that you smell fresh cut grass in New York City, but on Monday morning that sweet smell was what was wafting through my nostrils as I took Dopey for a walk in Riverside Park South. It was a spectacular almost fall day and I took a few photos to share with you. Enjoy and have a great week!

Today, we met up with a few of R’s former classmates at the American Museum of Natural History to hang out on our last day before the start of school. We decided a great meeting place would be the “Whale Room”. You can imagine our surprise when we got to the large hall and found that the exhibit was closed due to whale vacuuming. Yep, you heard it right, the giant whale was getting an over due make over. Not something you see everyday!! Hope you have a good one =)

Now that is a large whale....but I guess all whales are large 😉

That is a lot of dust...

Way more interesting than vacuuming the apartment.

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here. I can say that now because I am currently not teaching and am not going back to school 😉 This week we (I) have been spending time getting us organized for the new year. Today was the day that the girls and I went out to do some clothes shopping, something they are actually excited to participate in. In NYC there are a lot of shopping options and I fear that they are already getting a love of discovering the perfect dress or pair of shoes *sigh*. And so it begins… Here is a cute pic of the tired shoppers taking a refreshment break.

Happy shopping and back to schooling 🙂

The shopping divas and their juice boxes
