This morning I had one of those great runs. The kind of run that you really, really need. The kind of run where the sun is shining, there is little wind, the air is fresh and it just feels fabulous to pound the pavement under your shoes. Today I was back together with some of the best women I know, relieving some stress, burning some calories, sharing some laughs and reminding myself that there is joy in just getting out and moving. Sometimes there is happiness in the simplest of things. Much needed. Feeling grateful for lacing up the sneakers and getting out there. Hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday and as we roll into Valentine’s Day surround yourself with love and positivity. You know I love you 😉

We have had very little snow in Manhattan this year. Yesterday we had a little dusting. I took the Dopey dog for a walk and took some pics. Hope you enjoy them. Happy Wednesday and hello February!

Today there is a warm front moving in that will soon be chased out by a cold front… ahh, the joys of winter 😉 So, our run in Central Park was incredibly foggy and breathtakingly beautiful. Here are a few pics, hope you enjoy them. Happy Hump Day my friends! And yes, sorry my Canadian peeps, we are running in only one layer. Maybe winter really is better here (see previous post).

In my continuing efforts to explore the city on Friday nights instead of sitting on my butt in a Starbucks while the girls are at Come Join The Band, I embraced the cold crisp weather and headed to the Highline. It was a gorgeous night and the park was practically empty as I made my way down to the Meatpacking district before the Highline (one of my favorite spots in the city) closed for the evening. Here are the pics. I hope you enjoy and have a fabulous Wednesday! Stay warm. I suggest lots of snuggling 😉

And today it will be almost wordless 😉 While walking home from Starbucks my eye was drawn to this ad and the phone hanging off the hook.
The world is listening, indeed.

It is definitely back to normal around here, back to school, back to reality, back to routine, eating healthy, getting fit- all of those wonderful it MUST be January things 😉 But, with a new year comes a fresh new outlook, positive energy and a renewed passion to get out there and explore NYC. This past weekend my youngest daughter and I, along with some friends went to see the Ann Hamilton exhibit : The Event of A Thread at the Park Avenue Armory. I am so glad that we were able to see this wonderful exhibit before it closed. The Park Avenue Armory is a spectacular space and the exhibit itself was beautiful, peaceful and absolutely mesmerizing. Here are some pics from our latest adventure. I hope you enjoy them. Have yourself a truly magical Wednesday =)

Nothing makes me happier at this time of year than sitting in front of our decorated Christmas tree, snuggled on the couch with the family, nice and warm, reading, watching a movie or just talking and listening to music. If the Yule Log is on in the background, even better 😉 There is something truly calming about the warm glow of the lights and the peacefulness of family-time especially after a day caught up in the hustle and bustle of NYC during the holidays. I cherish these moments. Here are some pics of the family bringing home our tree and getting our decorating groove on. Hope you enjoy! A VERY happy 12-12-12 to you all!!!

The last couple of months have definitely had their trying times. And I can’t help but admit that I am looking forward to 2013 for a bit of positive energy and the hope of new beginnings and a fresh outlook. However, this past weekend was American Thanksgiving. Yes, we do celebrate both. Lucky us 😉 We had a wonderful relaxing weekend celebrating with cherished family and friends and during that long weekend I had time to reflect on how truly fortunate and thankful I am for all of our blessings. Most of all, the love that surrounds us. My heart is full of warmth from the amazing people I am truly lucky to have in my life. I am so immensely grateful for all of you. xox

Here are a few pics from the weekend and our adventures. I hope you enjoy them. Happy Wednesday!

With the celebration of Thanksgiving tomorrow, NYC is being transformed into holiday magic. Lights are being put up, Christmas trees are arriving, parade balloons are being filled, decorations abound and the beautiful store windows are being unveiled. Last week I was able to take a wander down 34th street to capture a glimpse at the beauty of this year’s Macy’s window display. They were still putting on some of the finishing touches but as usual they did not disappoint. Here is a peek of this year’s theme. Enjoy the pics and to my American friends- Happy Thanksgiving! I know that I am feeling extremely grateful this year for my many blessings including my incredible family and friends. Love and happy Turkey to you all =)

Today I had the fantastic experience of spending the morning with R’s second grade class. We went on a field trip to Central Park where with the help of a Park Ranger, we learned all about rock formations. It is at times like this when I feel very fortunate that we have such an amazing greenspace to explore within the city. We may not have a backyard but we certainly do have an oasis of beauty to escape to whenever we would like. The kids loved being outside and I was thrilled to be along for the adventure! Here are some pics, Central Park is truly spectacular at this time of year. Enjoy and have a great day!
